Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey

Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey is an exciting novel that takes you from rural Pennsylvania to the dark castles of Romania. It is more than just a romance, it is a story about a young girl’s discovery about her past and what she must do in order to find her place in the world. This novel is packed with interesting characters, complicated relationships and a look into the secret past of Romania. In this suspenseful romance fiction you will follow Jessica while she finds her true identity and a date for the annual Fall Carnival.

Jessica Packwood is a seventeen year old girl. She was adopted during infancy from an Eastern European country. She doesn’t know the exact circumstances of her adoption but she figures her parents had their reasons. She goes to an average high school, likes to hang out with her best friend, has a crush on the hottest guy in school, and pretty much lives a normal life. That is until Romanian  foreign exchange student Lucius Vladescu walks into her life. Not only does Lucius claim to be a Vampire Prince he claims that Jessica is a Vampire Princess! Did we also mention that he also claims to be Jessica’s fiancé?

One of the reasons that we liked this book is because Jessica is a strong character that can achieve  anything she puts her mind to. She is the kind of character you can’t help but root for. Overall we think that this book is great and is worth reading, especially if you’re a fan of the Twilight saga or any other vampire novels.
